Frequently asked questions.

  • Absolutely! Having a combined background as a health coach and a registered nurse offers significant advantages. It means we approach your health from a comprehensive perspective, understanding both your clinical and personal experiences. This holistic approach allows us to see you as more than just a patient—we’re able to consider every aspect of your well-being. Together, we’ll will review your health history and current situation, while also addressing broader factors such as your mental, physical, and environmental health. By mapping out where you are now and where you want to be, we can develop a clear, actionable plan to help you reach your goals.

As nurses, we are part of a regulated profession, which ensures that you receive care from someone who adheres to the highest standards of practice. This includes confidentiality, building therapeutic relationships, protecting your privacy, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding ethical standards. We are also dedicated to continuous professional development and regularly seek feedback from peers to ensure that our practice not only meets our personal standards but also aligns with those set by the regulatory bodies we are registered with.

  • As our services are not provided through a publicly funded facility, they are not eligible for direct billing like services from a physician. Therefore, all of our services are considered private pay.

However, there may be opportunities for reimbursement through your benefit plan under health spending or personal spending accounts, depending on your plan. This can be explored before enrolment.

Additionally, some employers or payors may offer coverage for online training programs (non-nursing services) with a prescription for exercise, as we are a registered provider in the province of Alberta under the RxTGA program.

As registered nurses, our fees can be claimed as a medical expense on your taxes. For more details on eligibility and to confirm your specific situation, please refer to the CRA website or consult a professional accountant.
